Corrie Box was born in Henderson, TX in 1976. She lived up north near Chicago and in Ohio and then returned to Texas. She graduated with a B.M. in Piano Performance Pedagogy from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999.

Wanting to see the world and help people she then worked in Moscow, Russia for 2 years. Her main tasks were to teach American culture classes and transcribe worship songs.

After returning from that grand adventure in 2001, she began to teach at the extraordinary Musical Arts Center of San Antonio. She also started pursuing the names for the jazz colors that were painting sounds in her head. Her quest started Corrie on a whole new magical path that she hopes to explore forever.
